A Silver Pearl in the ocean
With everlasting beauty
This tiny Pearl has a big heart
Where in the day so lively
while at night so silent
This Pearl
With a screaming sun
And a whispering moon
With creations of scorching lands
To river forming rains
Senses are enchanted
And enriched with fragrances
sights and sounds
Where fields roam of emerald
From palms and coconut trees
to velvet green tea leaves
Which is surrounded by the powerful
sapphire wave of the ocean
while its embraced by golden sand
As buried gems of wonder
Are guarded by crystal rainfalls
That fountain from the great mountains
As spices revolve over the surface
Mesmerizing dishes are made
Filled with crackling flavors that burst
to the sweetness of tropical fruits
The Pearl people
So hopeful and determined
Keeps culture and tradition forever
While holly lands still to rise
As breathtaking landmarks stand tall
By sharing its histories mysteries
While famous parades flock the streets
Filled the day and nights with colorful joy
While spirited dances and magical drums
Play the countries song
The pride, success, strength and hope
Shines brighter than any flaws
The colours of a lion’s heart roars
For this priceless jewel
Gifted with the most beautiful treasures

I may be Australian but my blood is Sri lankan this is reminder of the beautiful lands we left behind to live in this lucky Country Australia, my roots will always be of Sri Lankan Values and moral, My parents home my home and all its wonder are mentioned above!
