Eternity

I’ve given 1,000 speeches
Yet, in your presence I’m speechless.
Being face-to-face with the epitome of true beauty
Is truly thought numbing–
too surreal.
Even though my mind is doing laps
To the moon and back,
My tongue is at a standstill,
While we’re in a stand off,
if you will.
Your eyes are as still and deep
as the ocean.
I’m infected by the disease that is loneliness
and you are my potion.
You have the intangibles
That make life seem manageable.
Your fairness is immortal.
When I say that you’re gorgeous
I’m speaking more towards your origin.
The background you doest not blame, nor shame—but claim.
Your loveliness reigns
inside and out.
I want to see you naked:
Not without clothes,
But with all your secrets exposed.
Leaving you completely vulnerable
Yet, comfortable nonetheless.
Our love will be "preternatural serenity"
And it’ll last for eternity.
