Sonnet III: Life

Do you ever ask yourself, what is life?
Why are we here? What are we meant to do?
The assurance of death leaves us at strife;
Life is too short, if only we had two.

What’s the rules? Survival of the fittest?
Like a “kill or be killed” type of livin’
Where we always fight to be the richest—
Where we think we must take what was given?

I believe life serves a bigger purpose.
It’s not to bear objects that please the eye
For these things are ultimately worthless,
What you believe is for you to decide.

To tell you what is right is not my place.
Just believe in something, and maintain faith.
