Sonnet VIII: High Off Love

Brianna

I don’t even know why I’m here right now
There’s no partying to music this low.
 
The same people are here every time.
And If you want to go to the bathroom
You’re going to have to wait in the line.
 
But I have decoded your body lingo
Catching all flirtatious innuendo.
 
Eyes informing me you’re who I came for
Smile saying you didn’t even know it.
Body telling me to bring mine near yours.
 
I do, and we share deep breaths together
Now the air is being filled with laughter.
Let us toast to you and something clever;
Cups up, as we drift into forever.
