Man On the Moon

The man on the moon, he’s
Lonely tonight.
Now
He knows the truth
And his cratered heart rings hollow.
Even his own light,
Just a reflection of another’s.
He rages.
Wails.
Mourns.
But his unblinking eyes
And steady false glow
Made you think all was right
With the world tonight.
