Victory

Desperation looks good on you he said, almost as good as defeat. I twisted my fingers wringing them in my hand, heart skipping, brow beading sweat. I am good at being down. I am used to having to trust, and God help you when I finally figure that out.  A stream looks harmless as it slips along but what follows it, lover of my desperation, is an Ocean.

This poem is about that tuff place faith can bring us to when we know we are facing the impossible and choose to trust we will be victorious. My struggle and strife is always due to a lack of faith, i know it, I just have trouble remembering it.... LOL
