A nearness to Tremendousness—
An Agony procures—
Affliction ranges Boundlessness—
Vicinity to Laws
Two Travellers perishing in Snow
The Forests as they froze
Together heard them strengthening

One Life of so much Consequence!
Yet I—for it—would pay—
My Soul’s entire income—
If recollecting were forgetting,
Then I remember not.
And if forgetting, recollecting,
How near I had forgot.
The sky is low, the clouds are mea…
A travelling flake of snow
