Bright lights all around the neighborhood
Putting everyone in a festive, happy mood
And in the airwaves, we hear holiday tunes!

The malls brimming with persistent shoppers
We’re there; be it sunny skies or rain showers,
From early mornings up to late afternoons!

The perfect gifts, we’re out there searching
For ones we hold dear; hoping it will bring
Happiness and cheers to them, to us as well!

Some of us wait till the very last minute
And thus we test our endurance to the limit
Unknowingly, we succumb to the holiday spell

Sadly, often we forget why we’re celebrating
These joyful, festive days; this season of giving
We remember not who sacrificed so we may live

For it’s His birth we mark and commemorate
His second advent that we constantly await
In this season to give, as well as forgive!
