A Season of Promise

It’s a season of promise that all’s well

Heaven smiles; yeah! The future’s bright

All we see, hear, touch! What a delight!

Nature’s beauty has cast a magical spell

Sadly, spring will eventually bid farewell

And April showers will soon say good night

May flowers will wilt in the harsh sunlight

Summer solstice cometh; spring’s death knell!

But the promise of spring comes next year

And the beauty of nature will again be here!

In Spring, everything is full of promise.... The child sporting upon the lawn, and the season, sympathize together, and nature rejoices in her virgin loveliness. ~Charles Lanman, "The Dying Year," 1840

This is my sixth and last poem about spring... Photo is a wallpaper publicly available.
