The End of His World

His whole world ended; it was yesterday
His hopes for tomorrow quickly perished
When the love of his life passed away
His dreams, like a thin mist, vanished...
She’ll always be the lady of his youth
Since he met her, when he’s six years old
She stole his heart, that’s the truth
He hoped, his heart, she’d forever hold!

Sadly, his love remained unanswered
Yet he kept hope alive the time will arrive
In the future, his prayers will be heard...
She’d love him back, happiness will survive
But joy melted away; laughter is no more
The world’s now barren, cold, dark as night
She’s now departed, the lady he adores
No more dreams, no songs nor poems to write
