No one cares about the past; I know I don’t

I’ve locked it away; threw away the keys

Got no use for it, be it now or evermore

I choose not to recall unpleasant memories!

I’ve loved, I gave it all; now I’ve lost

There are scars in my heart, no one ever sees

But I met someone else who brightens my days

Whose kisses, as soft as the morning breeze!

Time takes everything so better to live the moment here and now. Thanks

Made me reflect on a song that begins with the line "It's good to hope in silence...". Just yestersay I heard it. Thanks for sharing.

You said you weren't finished writing about the past yet, but good for you've moved on now. We definately have to do that sometimes. I feel your pain Francis, so I'm glad for you.

Thanks for liking Charlotte.

Yes, I am not finished writing about the past - but not necessarily "my past". Most, if not all of my poems, are not about me. As a writer, I like putting myself in other people's shoes. I write in the first person, the feelings and emotions I express, would have been my own, if I were in the situation of the characters I write about..
