I once heard this short debate

I once heard this short debate,
between a rebel girl and a man to whom had lost his name.
“Who do you think you are?” he’d interrogate,
and just as the question began to infiltrate,
“I know who I am” she’d retaliate.
I watched him shut his eyes,
and in his blindness his face grew with demise
as he began to realize,
that just because you have a name it doesn’t tell you who you are,
so the question running through his mind is who am I?

So what are you?
can you be found, aware of what stereotype group you would be labeled to...
“Fit in”
what clothes, hair and makeup style you use to show your unique strange and
oh so different personality,
to organize yourself fashionably in the same way as them.
Or, are you like the rest of us?
Lost,
going from one click to the next.
Hoping one day to discover,
“What I am.”
