Strings

There once was a man
Who played sweet as honey
And when he played songs
He played for no money

He had won it all
The house and the car
But what he had left
Was just his guitar

He once broke a string
That stuck in his beard
But he found a new way
To play and to hear

When it was so late
On the pavement he lay
And when he would sleep
The music he played
