Control

Loosing myself to find you
Selfishness —we turn a blind eye
Struggling to see the view over the bridge
Eyes wide open
Yet flaws remain imperishable
The moment one eye is closed the picture repainted, reconciled
Loosing myself to find you
I had to take a step back to acknowledge your insecurities
Are the backseat drivers of your pride ...
Your ego—a pain killer.
However it may ease the pain on others when underfed,
recognised accomplishments crave for another pill to numb the exhaust of drowned self pity.
Loosing myself, no longer the outcast entrapped.
Kindness given with no questions asked
A challenging mistake I am two steps ahead of
No longer loosing myself to find you
I have found myself
I now stand distant in memory
From where we stood as friends
I had to loose myself to find you in order to be saved
This is my new chapter
I can take control.

Why do I stand with my shoulders held high
My smile filled with such passion I reply with a trickled laugh
Disguised amusement
I stand so tall because I can
I embody my character because I am the original
No one can or ever will spoil you!
as you spoil yourself
No ones sass can engage you more than your own
No character as enchanting as your aura.
