You are the perfect shade of blue,
No chance of me being through.
In your senseless mind of unsure
you left a glooming light shining through,
To my unshaken heart of steel
I shriver for blood travelling me cold
I ice and melt in the heat you bring.
You were never there,
A solid black eye sight in my side
I look and stare at you unmoving.
I try to reach for your dusty ashy skin
to find a hard frame of what I made you to be
You stood there still,
Left my mind running in perfection.
You were never mine

the poem is written to a lover by a woman who is in love with the idea of true love.She loved her partner and created this images of how perfect he is because he treats her well like a gentle man.He makes her happy but she can see that he is a little bit insecure or fears where they will end up "In you senseless mind of unsure"
in spite of that she still beleives in him as if something can be changed" To my unshaken heart of steel" . She thinks he only need some convincing because she loves him that much her feelings are not changing.

She has this picture she is trying to communicate with in her mind to keep the memory of him becuase the guy has left her long time without a say.everywhere she goes the memory of their love is there and makes her smile still" left my mind running in perfection"
the last line" You were never mine that picture is what I own but my heart" she doubts that the guy was ever really inlove with her,she understands now that there was no hope from the begining telling from the way he looked at her with doubts and the feeling was always there that the guy is not staying for long'I shriver for blood travelling me cold(fear).
