Sickle tools done their jobs
Farmers gathered their crops
Between fields and laithe
Foraging continued though late.
Day in, day out... they sowed...
Bounty harvest for the morrow.

Skin scorched under sun’s rays
Weary at the end of each day...
Cracked feet and mudded soles
Hunched down... oh,  bleary souls!
Day in, day out... they sowed...
Bounty harvest for the morrow.
