Missing you
The hardest thing in this life for me to do
Is to keep my mind heart and soul from missing you.
I try my hardest to not allow myself to go back to that dreadful day.
That awful moment of reality when you were taken away.
I try to push off all of our memories we made.
Oh just to have you back you have no idea what I would trade.
The pain I keep trying to lock away
As you were the one I really needed to stay.
The day I got that life changing call
Was the day that took my faith in all.
Who ever thought the day would come
That they took my number one.
The thought if you being gone forever
Made my soul and heart wear and tether.
There was so much more time I needed with you.
So much more advice and guidance that was true.
The day you left my heart went completely numb
As I never believed that day would have to eventually come.
I’m sorry I try to put all thoughts of you out of my head
But the memories unfold and I realise how much was still left unsaid.
The bond with you I’ll never Find with any other being
As you gave my life so much insight and meaning.
I just wish you had never left
As my heart now will never be put to rest.
