Depressed but Can't be Bothered

Depressed but can’t be bothered to bother
Sorrow is the plastic bag cutting off breath and suffocates until there is nothing left
But don’t dare let anyone know nor let anyone see
We suffocate in misery and silence
Depressed but can’t be bothered to bother
It has become easier to plaster on a fake smile, a false sense of happiness than answer the dreaded question, “what’s wrong?”
“I’m tired”, she says
“I’m fine”, she says
Because can’t you see that I can’t breathe and if I knew my source of suffocation no longer would I need resuscitation
You can’t help me
I’m drowning in a sea of lonliness a lost soul with no GPS
Depressed but can’t be bothered to bother
