I’ll sit on my bed and throw
A couple of words together.
Even though you know
These poems are about you.
It’s not because I love you
Even though I do.
It’s not because I need you
Even though I do.
It’s definitely not because I miss you
Even though I do.
It’s because you tore
The frown right off my face
And replaced it with a
Shining bright smile.
And you’re the only one
Who can do that to me.
