Crown Shyness

By J Ann Crowder

In woods blown by a wind’s unharnessed strength, I see protections in their tessellated networks of patterns

On those higher, mightier planes of honeycombed heaven, light shafts break through crevices of shy branches

Such is cracked mud drinking replenishing depths of pungent rain abasked in fluidity and sustenance

Liana climbs the art strewn canopy of leafy sky

Liana touches each tree-being, drawing paths to heaven

Upon this realm, life thrives and a transfiguration of changing seasons lilts upon horizons beyond

Each tree-being is a soloist of benevolent grace; still, combining a union—an artful picturesque forming a perfect orchestra and choir

Each individual trunk grounded by her roots to earthly sediment—simutaneously gravitating towards nature and God; connecting body with spirit

Thus is a Crown Shyness resplendent in her deliberate science, her architectural design, her art, and her sacred metaphor
