Orca’s Touch

By J Ann Crowder

I swiftly dance to edges where sultry waters meet gazing beaches

Here, love endures faithfully within a choiring language of song

As she breaches air, cosmos keenly bow

Her mighty Orca’s touch streams upon my spirit like breath of new oxygen

She, a lighted being, penetrates depths of ocean truths

Her music petrifies within an old sailors bones, echoing through skeletons of sunken ships—awakening mysteries unknown

She is a ponderous, mighty being—guardian of heaven’s celestial sphere

She is ever married to water, taking her ardent voyage upon savory bends of Pacific coastlines

I connect with her in dreams, buried in the healing salve of Adam’s ale

I pirouette with her into astral journeys

She, a gentle giant composed, sculpts her voluminous, enchanting spirit within my mind

Thus it is, I see her breathtaking sight on edges where swift, fluttering waves slap earth’s wide belly

As time stands still, constellations pause—suspended magick, leaving my dreams to live in a moment's sacred trance

Written December 14th, 2016. I love whales, especially the Orca.
