Spaces

By J Ann Crowder

I have spaces, yearning to be filled

In my heart(depths of colorful horizons)

In my soul(love’s everlasting ghost)

Between my toes(warm oceans of gentle sands)

Between my fingers(intertwined with a purity of touch; skin on skin)

Between my lips(a joyful taste of heavenly, peachy nectar)

Furthermore,

My ears have spaces within them, where music travels the echoing drone of my sacred tomb

My mind has endless spaces I fill with blissful prose stamped upon everlasting pages

My stomach is a hollow space, fluttering as raw and consuming passions ignite a strong thunder of pulsating, hot blood inside my veins

Alas, my skin has spaces where touch shapes a blossoming river, riveting and deep; stirring each dalliance of light within

For spaces transform my body into an enchanted and magical wonderland where thought, emotion, senses, and spirit weave an eternal cocoon entrapping me into it’s freeing, boundless, and enveloping abyss
