The Garden Dusk

By J Ann Crowder

'Tis garden dusk embellishing a whimsical scene, home to raven shrills at magical moons—the heavenly shrines

She is like red roses, queenly amongst the gardens

As fairies kiss her petals—she welcomes

Her thorns distance those who would pluck her only for her beauty

Her red emboldens with Autumn’s parcels of delights

She stills beneath an oasis of sky’s night dance

She haunts a quiet dream of dark’s colors, brilliantly colliding—a masterpiece of dreams

As a kingly owl bows to her, she is showered by spotlights of nightly glows

Here she lives and thrives amongst a beautiful tapestry of darkness

Bringing in enchanting rays of sharpened, colorful fire
