Where I want to go

By J Ann Crowder

I long to travel a place fair
’Tis whiter than bright sun
Where benevolence is sweet air
Breathing lenity spun

Where all my yearnings rise golden
Atop rays gleeful born
Warmths of clemency embolden
Tinged by graceful hawthorn

For kindness is spring's rushing                           strength
Charity rings tender
Echoing splendored chords at                               length
Rising notes surrender

And I'll dance resplendence inside
Caves of spirit bemused
Charity in Angels abide
Tenderheartedness fused

Compassion blooming on petals
Ne’er a darkened hue
Ne’er a darkened hue
