She walks alone on a foggy morning
The pelicans cry in the distance
One does not often witness the quiet side
Of this beach, its sand is smooth and rocks are few
She listens in the solitude for the brontide
The brontide rumbles low in the distance,
It fills the empty space
Between the cries of the pelicans
And the movement of the waves,
It is almost as though it wants to be heard
By no one… no one but her
She pushes out all of the sounds from earth side,
And she hears its rumbling voice for the first time
She has heard it before, but it is not like this time
She listened in the solitude for the brontide…
And the brontide rumbled low in the distance

We need to get alone sometimes in order to get what we want. We must enter solitude.
