Rennassaince of a City

As the morning clouds disperse
Birds come out to quench their thirst
A river washes off the city’s curse
Cement breaks up to reveal rebirth

The current flows over former streets
Pavement cracks beneath its feet
Sidewalks sprout with something sweet
Bursting through the hard concrete

Man has left but will return
The time is right for man to learn
New life, new order that none shall spurn
They work to build an Earth that’s earned
