A Collective Numb
Feeling lethal tonight
Pushing my fingers deep in my eyes
Pain can only parallel my plight
My heart is racing
Can’t stop an inevitable relapse
I want to roam the streets
And have every block collapse
Sick of every person alive
Infinite existence is a lie
We all should find solace
In a rupturing sun above my godless sky
I have never felt so numb
I want no better feeling for anyone
I crave tsunamis of black water
Like liquid phalanxes
Crushing cities and breaking bones
Perforating concrete jungles
And carving out the country it owns
Swallowing the masses
Everyone knows my empty
They feel my knots
Beneath their crawlspaces
In their abandoned lots
It has always been lurking
In paths of disease
In the throes of Paranoia
It makes them fall to their knees
What it is, is this one fact
A sharp, constant tone
Attached to the base of our skulls
We are indeed all alone
