The painting and the poem
The rain man
painted
a picture, but
the picture
he created was
crooked.
He wrapped the
present,
and sent the
ship
sailing into the
world.
The world feared
this
picture, for thoughts
of it
being a mistake came
into their minds.
The rain man
wrote
a poem, but
the
poem wasn’t straight
forward.
He put the letter
in the
mailbox, and off it
went into the
world.
The world misread
this poem,
for they didn’t under
stand
and could never
find
the true meaning.
