Ink stains

Your name is stuck in my throat, and it burns every time I say it out loud. It’s a match that will never go out, it’s a flame that’s burning down the whole town that is my body. It’s left me with scars on my lips and ink stains on my wrists, because words are the only thing that stayed by my side while I was out in the blue night looking for you. You’ve injected your picture in my veins and our memories under my skin, my eyes have spent their lives doing nothing but trying to escape you, while my heart won’t give up looking for you. Your breath is hot and heavy and it’s stuck inside my chest. I taste it with every gust of wind that blows the rain onto my cheeks, and carries the flowers back into my hair (if only it could carry you back into my life) . The ocean sounds alot like laughter, not just any, but yours. With nothing but it’s pounding voice and crackling smiles, it lets me hear everything at once, but at the same time hear nothing at all. It’s white noise, just like your voice was. Your bones have all been broken, but don’t worry my dear Im keeping them safe under my skin. Slowly they’re beginning to break the rest of me. But without you here I’m already broken.
