Moonlit Daffodils

Theres gold on the tips of my lashes, blinking off  into this sunlit world around me. Today the earth is so raw, I feel every bit of it inside me, turning me inside out.  Im breathing in the life of the birds, as their wings carve words into the sky above me. Their feathers pulling behind them every last bit of energy that slept along the ocean. At night the sky will carve its stars into my spine and they will dance inside of me, lighting up the world that spins inside my chest. I’ll walk along the willow trees and get lost amongst the daffodils, and smile as they sing me to sleep. The clouds burst into my lungs as I paint them on my canvas stained with wildflowers, as do the trees that ripped into my skin as I wrote of them on the backs of my hands. The ocean is loud in my eardrums as well as my bones, as I lay beneath the setting sun, watching her waves crash into each other as if they were in love. The moon he tells me I dream too much, but his voice was still when I said its always of him.
