Silent sky

As the smoke drains from my ear drums, and travels to your lips, I’m wishing to be standing anywhere but the ground that my heels are pressed against. My heart dreams of laying barefoot, with sun resting on my skin, and words flowing through my fingertips. Your name is like vapor, whirling around my tongue, burning the inside of my chest. Ill carry you around like a letter in my pocket, and infect the lives of all the beautiful flowers around me, by telling them two too many story’s. Tonight ill walk among the spine of the earth and sprinkle all my fears into the weeping grass. The trees above me will fall down around my skin, and remind me that I’ve come this far without you. But at the end of the day ill still be writing about you, because you’re the only thing that spills out of my mouth while I’m not there to tell it to be still.
