Mr. Peterson

To: Inspiration

The greatest man ever born, Mr. Peterson.
Who speaks not with his mouth, but with paper and pen.
He communicates with his mind, not with the words of the weak.
The only one not blind, to the land of the bleak.
He would always write, if the clouds above, could be looked at with art,
Then the world itself would finally start.
I never understood, the phrase he would write,
until the heat came from his cold and final night.
I found a letter, on the cover my name read,
I sat down and opened, and this is what it said.

“Let your soul tell you not to speak, but let your heart whisper.
Save all of the small words for the bigger picture.
An artist doesn’t acknowledge all the faults in his first painting,
But understands that he’s a legend in the endless making.”

Those words touch my inner most mind,
It helped me understand what I must find.
So if you ever meet your own Mr. Peterson,
Listen very close to all the messages he will send.
