A Letter To A Loved One
I never thought
I would have enough courage
To write you this letter
About how I feel about you
And how much I care
Now I know I’m never sappy
So sorry if this sounds sappy
But what I’m going to tell you is 100% true
Because I would never lie to you
I guess I’ll start off on how much I care
Even though I may not be able to put it into words
I’m going to try my hardest not to sound like a broken record
Ok... Here I go...
You told me your problems and worries
You trusted me with your life
And every time
You’d vent out your emotions
It was like I could feel your pain
All I ever wanted to do was help you
And I still want to help you now
I want you to know that I’m always here for you
Even if I’m not physically with you
I’ll always be in your heart...
I will always try to make you laugh
For I don’t want to see you cry
I want to see you smile
And make your pain go away
And if it comes back
Then I’ll do whatever I can to help you through it...
I’ll make sure that you’re always happy
And that your emotions won’t take control of you
Your so strong and you keeping saying your not
But I know that you are
And I will do whatever I can to help you see it too
All I want is for you to be ok
So I will care for you
No matter what I have to do
Now I should tell you how much I love you...
Please, be kind with me
For I’ve never done this before
This is new for me so sorry if it sounds redundant
When we talked my heart warmed up
At first I thought it was just happiness
But then I realized it was love
I never thought I’d feel love this strong
But there’s always a first time for everything right?
And that was the first time
That my heart was filled with joy
Every time we talked
I dreaded us saying goodbye
For I always wanted to be with you
And I hope you felt the same
My love for you grew more and more
Until you were like family to me
I asked you if you felt the same
And your answer was yes
We loved each other like family
And we treated each other like it too
I made sure that you were alright before me
Because you meant more to me
Then anyone else
My love for you will never fade
Even if we don’t talk for months on end
You will always be in my heart
And I will always care for you
And want you to be safe
I don’t know if you’ll get my letter
But if you do know this one thing...
I love you...
There really isn't much to say about this one, but if you have any questions just ask and I will answer. Also, I'd like to say thank you to all of you who read or have read my poems! This is my 50th one and I never thought that I'd make it up to this number. So I want to thank you guys because if it wasn't for the fact that you actually read my poems I'm pretty sure I would never had made it up to ten let along fifty.
