Her body lay still on the water
The hair that once cascaded down her shoulders
Now fans out around her face
Her body limp, lips blue
The once toned skin is now pale
Her chest looks up to the sun
As her back stares at the depths
The beautifully green eyes, bloodshot
Her wrists and ankles stained with the bloody ropes
Ropes that held her down for days
Bruises formed around her neck
Purple and blue blotches enriched her skin
Her white summer dress became clear as it clung to her body
The water pulled at her
Taking her deeper into uncharted territory
He watched with pride as her body disappeared
From the moment he caught her
He knew she was a good one
Her figure captured his attention
The way her blond hair shaped her face
How her lips formed words
She was a fascinating creature
Her beauty now preserved
He thought he was helping her
Never letting her age
He watched with pride as she slowly disappeared
Never to be found
