Leave the Unknown

Why?
The most commonly asked question
From the time our tiny lips could say the word
To the day we die
'Why’ will always be the question of the century
'Why’ answers the unknown
As humans the unknown kills us
As children we would ask ‘why do we have to clean our room?’
Or 'why does she get ice cream and I don’t?'
Then as we mature the 'whys’ become more complex
And the people in out lives are stuck trying to explain every complicated situation
The unknown kills us
It surrounds us with more questions
And not every question can be answered
If we just left the unknown as the unknown, where would we stand today?
The beauty of a mystery
Every tomorrow will always be the unknown
Who’s to say the day to day of not knowing will kill us?
The unknown kills us
It scares us
As humans fright is an emotion commonly avoided
We can’t constantly avoid life
Life’s a mystery, why ruin it?
After all, why do we need to know the unknown?
