Flippers, Goggles, and All

Sitting here in the sunshine with my nephew.  6 years old and not a care in the world. If he didn’t have the blow up pool I know he’d be bored.
Discussing our favorite cartoons and cartoon characters.  I couldn’t think of a better way of spending my day.

Oh,  how I wish being 6 again. Even though I wouldn’t miss getting to be told.
Innocent with no worries to bare for you or anyone else. He could care less that the pool is small. It didn’t stop him from dreaming that hes in the ocean with all of his bikini bottom friends.

Flippers, goggles, snorkel and all.  A small sweet voice saying “ Aunt Katie please watch me I’m having such a ball ”.
Sooner or later we’ll get a call. It’s his mother ready to pick him up and all.

No tears are streaming down and no heart breaking to occur.  For this isn’t our last goodbye for sure.  In the morning I’ll be woken up with another soft spoken voice asking me “let’s go play ball”.
