A Lesson We Must Learn

Do not read in anger. I am not angry...
Written in response to Someone's "I can't" and Yuki Shiro's "A Message." Aubrianna Chase, I wish you would read this as well.

It is time, my sisters, time to grow up
You are in the ninth grade.
A compromise is what we need to come to
Though a compromise shouldn’t have to be made.

I am no longer mad but still do I care
I love you with all of my heart
Perhaps mean things were said to each of us
But it should never have torn us apart.

I miss our trips to the mall and our crazy sleepovers
Going on triple dates
The fun we used to have and the fun that is to come
Isn’t something that should have to wait.

I understand, my dear someone, your frustration and worry
Your misunderstanding and plea
But you must trust me and let her do as she does
Or she’ll never learn to be free.

We all have that one, that one in our life
Who is wrong but we still keep around
Whether it be me or you or Gorstov, my friend,
You have to let them bring you down.

Because if you are never brought down hard to your knees
How are you to know the difference
From the people who hurt and the people who love
And the people who will go the distance.

A learning experience is what this has come to be
A learning experience and a love
You made your mistake now let her make hers
And let our friendship become the white dove.

(2015)

I miss you, dear someone, I truly do. But I am not one to back down. If you are to come back, I will let you in, but you will not hold the crown. You must learn to control your urges And let us make our mistakes. If not made now they will be made later Which is not the time that it takes.
