The Blue Wolf

The blue wolf stands in the moonlight
And stares at the two paths given.
Go right and live a normal life
Or go left and live a meaningful one.

The blue wolf paces back and forth
Thinking of the consequences;
Right: Family, trust, grades, depression
Leftt: Happiness, love and success...

An unthinkable choice to choose from.
While her gut screams, “Left, left!”
Her heart tells her go right.
But then her heart stopped beating.

The feeling in her gut grew, bigger than containable.
As she started down the left path,
The moon screamed, “Go right!”
But the blue wolf was deaf.

She made her decision final, enclosed it with a note.
And she strode down the left path, coming across a bridge.
She halted in her place, thinking, “What have I done?”
But the blue wolf couldn’t think.

There’s no turning back now, she’s already on her way.
“Will they catch me?” she wonders,
Wishing to turn around.
But the blue wolf sees no direction.

Then the pack came running
Having smelled her nearby
And dragged her back to the place she came,
Back to the big bright moon.

But the blue wolf was not happy.
