Modern Earthly Man

Storms on the horizon,
Tragedy is certain.
Fiery rage and blackened hearts
Fall like a horrific curtain.

The creatures made to care and love,
Betray their maker every day.
Yet still He watches from above,
While the live in disarray.

How He could find such purpose
In such ignorant foolish sons
Is pondered by the wisest of men,
And understood by none.

He watches the horror and foolishness
And is, perhaps, reminded once again
Of the imperfection and poor example
That is modern earthly man.
