Shame On A Young Heart Again

Verse 1: I’m having a bad day in the middle of the Summer.
My pale skins turning pink the more my thoughts take me under.
I’ve got myself a married man, now I’m wondering what I’m doing.
And the longer this affair lasts the better I am super glue-ing.

Verse 2: I always know it all, so I never had to listen.
But I wish this once I did so I wouldn’t feel like somethings missing.
I was fine when I was all alone. Now everything’s over-blown.
Cause what I have isn’t enough or I’m the only one in love.

Chorus: No one can help me up again.
I hate when a heart breaks and it turns into a lesson.
It’s so cruel I trusted in you, got what I wished for and you did too.
Nothing turned out how I planned, shame on a young heart again.

Verse 3: I can’t keep up with myself. I don’t know what I need.
Trying something new or I could face reality.
The married man still calls me up, I still see him and fall apart.
Ever ask 'What’s gotten into me’?  and all a sudden you can’t breathe.

Chorus: No one can help me up again.
I hate when a heart breaks and it turns into a lesson.
It’s so cruel I trusted in you, got what I wished for and you did too.
Nothing turned out how I planned, shame on a young heart again.

Bridge: Shame shame shame on me.
Shame on a young heart dreaming of everything we could be.
Shame for not listening, when she said don’t fall too fast or you’ll only love in seasons.

Now I only love in seasons...

Chorus: No one can help me up again.
I hate when a heart breaks and it turns into a lesson.
It’s so cruel I trusted in you, got what I wished for and you did too.
Nothing turned out how I planned, shame on a young heart again.
