A is for Aware
She came and made a man of me,
While I was sleeping,
Taught me what life meant,
And stopped my creeping,
It was love that crept into me,
Made me aware,
Filled my life with hope,
And made me care,
And now I will never see her,
She came and went,
The pressure of chasing her,
Is too much to vent,
And when I see another woman,
With beauty and grace,
I remember her elegance,
But no longer think of her embrace,
And it was time that changed me,
And it was her that changed my heart,
And now my dreams have awoken,
And love will never depart,
And now I feel pressure,
And this is my only place to moan,
For life is what you make of it,
And the world is mine to roam,
And so I love this pressure,
Of hope and life and dreams,
And know life,
Is not as ordinary as it seems,
And now I long for more,
Of the love I felt before,
And though my route is blocked,
By pressures evil core,
I long for foreign lands,
And strong women,
And strong emotion,
And hard cash,
For life is slipping by,
But I’m ready for my brief dash,
And may I love many,
And the freedom of hard cash,
For when a princess fall’s for me,
I want to give my all,
And when love next finds me,
I’ll be ready for its call.
