Just as the leaf falls,
the tree starts to bawl.
Sorry, but I had to leave Mother Nature,
I had to go cause this was major.
You tried to talk me out of it,
but I was not listening one bit.
You were so stressed about this, that you couldn’t even sit.
Did you forget what happens,
once the sapling grows up it become it’s own captain.
Sadly this captain crashed its ship,
sorry that my boat took a huge dip.
But I shouldn’t even be rhyming for you to understand,
if I didn’t go, than things would have been mad.
And I know this is where I used to eat and sleep.
I apologize that I had to leave this peak.
So I’ll see you in another time,
cause I can’t be in mine.
I’m so sorry I made you cry,
but please be strong and try to survive.
Even though I was mad,
I still love you and dad.
I’m sorry I didn’t win this race,
but I still went down with a smile on my face.
I’m gone, but I still live on,
every time you play my song.
Sorry that I left these walls,
but I swear my life was,
just as the leaf falls.
