Dark Soul to Hold
For anyone who needs to find their way out of their own darkness.
Inspired by the darkness of a fellow soul
Look out upon the world of possibilities
Do not lose hope so soon
Ignore the clouds of mourning
The darkness and regret
The crystalline blue is visible
If you Let Go of the past
Step into the golden light
Bathed in the new days sun
Allow yourself to be reborn
You are a prisoner to no one
Release your self imposed shackles
Open your hands from the runges
Loosen your grip of a past reality
As blood runs to your white knuckles
A heart starts to beat again
Not for the past or any one person
A future you have not seen yet
Infant eyes constrict in the reviving sun
See the clear blue
Omit the gathered clouds
For when they are forgotten
They tend to move out
Warmth burning through the haze
Imagination to build from
Passion to begin again
Love to keep you moving forward
Knowledge to light the way
