Dragonfly
I Stand up so slowly,
Never making a sound,
And I tighten my grip,
On the lost that I’ve found,
I ache in that spot,
Still I’ll count to ten,
And I’ll take a deep breath,
Pull the knife out again,
It feels good to bleed,
It proves I’m alive,
So present me an ocean,
And I’ll take my dive,
My grief still exists,
My sadness is real,
But so is my future,
And my right to heal,
I’ll drown it in stubborn,
And kill it with joy,
And then I will love,
And this will destroy,
So here take this weakness,
And do what you will,
I’ll still push forward,
I will not sit still,
There are cracks in my heart,
And aches in my brain,
Still I’ll make my pleasure,
Burst forth through the pain.

It might be difficult but it is possible over time and with alot of perseverance to make your way forward after being knocked down.
