Hypocrite

Hate my flaws as they offend,
Wrinkles, scars and creases.
Break me down and make me bend,
Although I’ve been in pieces.
The shame I feel in every rhyme,
Still I am NO ONE’S sin
All good things will come in time,
Depending on the state you’re in.
Why jot down a scattered dream?
Real as it may be.
Thoughts that flow just like a stream,
And then pour out of me.
Words should not hold so much weight,
So step down from your cloud,
Often times they’re used as bait,
So let their actions speak out loud.
I fear I must have lost my way,
The pieces just don’t fit,
Here I’m selling what I say,
And it makes me a hypocrite.
So I’ll be silent day to day,
Watching as I sink,
Fellow breaths to be the prey,
While I am on the brink.
A day to watch a night to do,
Shall surely quench my thirst,
To break the ones that broke me too,
While I was at my worst.
Thank you for this lesson learned,
Clever as you are,
Though within I‘ve surely burned,
You’re still my favorite scar.
