Paradox

This pain and regret I cast out aimlessly,
Just goes right through you and then straight back to me.
You’re in every breath and consume all the air,
As it fills up my lungs and blows through my hair.
The more that I wish, the more that I crave,
The more that I linger, fester and rave,
Will serve me no purpose, yet still I despise,
Your poisonous tongue and the glint in your eyes.
I sit here disgusted, completely controlled,
By all that is you and all I’ve been told,
My hate makes us equals, its so very quaint,
To end up a sinner instead of a saint.
So yes I’m a monster its sad but its true,
But the demons in me are the same ones in you.
