#Depression
May sun is warm An old friend You have missed June sun Still smiles
The pine trees Reach up On both sides Of the road Telling me
I find richness In the mixture In what others disdain Young people lost Between two cultures
My poems are short Written at night In my head I wake at dawn Shake my memory
The E’s squeak by The I’s are too excited The U’s come after Q But the A’s and the O’s They flow
Some I like to share Fresh out of the oven Don’t let it get cold That’s why I wrote it Emotions in that moment
No pido disculpas Por escribir Lo que siento Lo que llevo adentro Lo que vivo
Manos fuertes No me sueltan De la cama Yo les digo Me tengo que ir
What if one day I wasn’t there for you? And you were left needing me If I wasn’t there When you woke up
My heart breaks A little each day For problems I can’t solve For things I can’t change All I can do is pray
If you find someone That can do it Better than you Get them on your team
Your pain is far away I hear it But I do not feel it Move closer Let me know you’re here to stay
Does it hurt? When you prick your finger No I do this just for fun Our fingers lose feeling
It’s not that I’m sad Though I am It’s not that I’m discouraged Though I am It soaks deeper
This world is covered in bias It’s all over you It’s all over me too This world is covered in bias It shades our words
