(2015)
I love to hear poetry read Rather than performed I love to hear each word Appreciated Rather than memorized
What if one day I wasn’t there for you? And you were left needing me If I wasn’t there When you woke up
My heart breaks A little each day For problems I can’t solve For things I can’t change All I can do is pray
How do you measure pain? All is relative and personal Even with one’s own self It is impossible to compare As memory distorts pain
Steamroller Of life Passed by Feeling down Squished
The more you treat me like a nag The more I become one I’m sorry if I micromanage Your clean clothes Your hot meals
The whole world Aches and groans Do you feel her pain? The human in me Wants to heal mankind
A conversation With a true friend Leaves your life richer Maybe with a laugh A smile on your face
No hay nada más sincero Que un regalo Inesperado Una carta Un chocolate
Down to earth I am but of dust Dust particles I see floating in the air Carbon molecules
If I could make you smile Just once Sincerity From an appreciative heart It would make all of it worthwhile
My body is perfect —ly spotted The white spots I tell myself Are my Bambi spots
She is no longer Part of my life I’ve moved on My life is full With friends
Don’t talk down to me I am not a child! Even children Deserve respect
Hospitality To love a stranger It need not be much For one who has little Will appreciate it
