Still Drunk at Five

Still drunk at five,
And the world becomes mine,
An upstroke to insomnia?
Or perhaps just the wine?
To sing with the birds,
Though dissonant I crow,
The elation that my feet
Walk me to my tomorrow.
I can’t imagine what next,
Or where you sleep now,
First find my bed,
And then you, somehow.
