Land

Land

This feels like a dream
At last I am awake
Watching the clouds
And all the patterns that they make
Perhaps another world
In the reach of my hands
And I don’t want to land

Hold me in the sunset
Before I wave goodbye
How many days are there left
Until I die
Moving through a world
I am yet to understand
But I don’t want to land

From up here,
Everywhere is calm and peaceful
There’s only one sound
The whisper of the winter wind
I melt inside you sooth and wrap around
The clean fresh air
What a world I’ve found

Open the windows
The element of surprise
Paint across this canvas
With the colour in the skies
There’s always time to spare
When you watch the second hand
And I don’t want to land
Give me the answers
Come on throw this dog a bone
Shake me in the morning
When I’m lost and all alone
Throw me to the water
Where it folds across the sand
And I won’t want to land

Keep me here this way
I never want to come back down
Believe me when I say
I’m never gonna come back down

I know your not a dream
The cameras show the way
Forming all the words
Being careful what I say
I see another world
Within the reach of my hands
And I don’t want to land

I’ll peer around the corner
With matchsticks in my eyes
I look beyond the shadows
From behind an old disguise
I race across the desert
Holding water in my hands
And I don’t to
No I don’t want to land
